According to the type of port, it can be divided into the following categories:
SC fiber optic attenuator: applied to the SC fiber optic interface. It looks very similar to the RJ-45 interface, but the SC interface is flatter. The obvious difference is the contacts inside. If it is 8 thin copper contacts, then It is an RJ-45 interface. If it is a copper pillar, it is an SC fiber optic interface.
LC fiber optic attenuator: used in the LC fiber optic interface to connect to the connector of the SFP module. It is made with an easy-to-operate modular jack (RJ) latch mechanism. (commonly used in routers)
FC fiber optic attenuator: used in FC fiber optic interface. The external reinforcement method is a metal sleeve and the fastening method is a screw buckle. Generally used on the ODF side (most commonly used on patch panels)
ST fiber optic attenuator: used in ST fiber optic interfaces, often used in fiber optic distribution frames. The shell is round and the fastening method is a screw buckle. (For 10Base-F connections, the connector is usually ST type. Commonly used in fiber optic patch panels)
