Multi-pair network cables must meet the following requirements for double jacketing:
Jacket Material Requirements
Waterproof: Use PE (polyethylene) or PVC for waterproofing and outdoor use.
Weather Resistance: Must be UV-resistant, cold-resistant (-40°C), and heat-resistant (90°C) to withstand harsh climates.
Mechanical Protection: Outer jacket thickness ≥ 0.8mm, inner jacket ≥ 0.5mm to ensure cable resistance to damage.
Structural and Process Requirements
Double-layer Jacket: Uses a double-layer shielding structure (inner aluminum foil shield + outer braid) to reduce electromagnetic interference.
Twisted Pair: Each pair uses a different twist density (e.g., 24/26 twisted pairs/meter) to reduce signal crosstalk.
Certification and Safety
Certification Standards: Complies with the ISO9001 quality management system. Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) certification is preferred.
Performance Guarantee: Conductor tensile strength ≥ 85%, insulation resistance ≥ 100 MΩ·km.
Installation and Maintenance
Minimum Bend Radius: R ≥ 4D (D is the cable diameter) to avoid excessive bending that may cause signal attenuation.
Installation Temperature: The installation temperature should be ≥ 0°C to ensure material toughness.
