I. Core Cable Credentialing Steps and Techniques (Applicable to 50-Port Voice Patch Panel)
Preparation and Tools:
Essential Tools: Wire strippers, professional crimping tool, scissors, cable ties, screwdriver, labels.
Cable Selection: Use high-pair-count cable (e.g., 50 pairs) or high-quality four-core voice telephone cable.
Wire Sequence is Crucial: Must Follow Standard Color Chart:
Standard Color Chart: Wire pairs are arranged in "primary color - secondary color" order. Primary colors: white, red, black, yellow, purple; Secondary colors: blue, orange, green, brown, gray.
Example of 50-pair wiring sequence:
Pair 1: White/Blue | Pair 2: White/Orange | ... | Pair 5: White/Gray
Pair 6: Red/Blue | Pair 7: Red/Orange | ... | Pair 10: Red/Gray
...(and so on)
Pair 26: White/Blue | Pair 27: White/Orange | ... | Pair 50: Purple/Gray.
Important Note: 50-pair cables are usually divided into two groups. The first 25 pairs are marked with a "white/blue" band, and the last 25 pairs are marked with a "white/orange" band. When wiring, be sure to follow this order to avoid cross-connection.
