Speaker cables are used to connect amplifiers and speakers. The current signal flowing in them is much larger than the video cables and audio cables mentioned above. Because the signal amplitude is very large, this type of cable often has no shielding layer. For this type of cable, the key is to reduce its resistance. Because the output impedance of modern amplifiers is very low, the requirements for speaker cables also increase accordingly, such as using large cross-sectional area or multi-strand twisted wire. Wires range from pure copper to silver wire. A more expensive type of speaker cable is oxygen-free copper speaker cable. Its main characteristics are good conductivity and low resistivity. When using it, the timbre of the sound is greatly increased. According to the classification of home speakers, they are divided into home theater speakers (usually 6) and HIFI music speakers (two), which are generally called fever boxes.
HIFI speakers are used to restore the recording sound field with high fidelity, so there must be sufficient guarantee for the lossless transmission of audio signals. Generally, transmission lines have different impedances for signals of different frequencies. This characteristic manifests itself as poor sound quality in sound reproduction. For this reason, people have produced a high-end speaker connection line called smart signal line. The characteristic of this line is that it divides the signal into two channels according to the frequency. The outer layer of a certain thickness passes the signal above 5KHZ, and the signal below 5KHZ is transmitted through the inner layer of the line. This greatly improves the frequency characteristics of the transmission line and makes the playback sound better. However, the price is also very expensive. Most of the audio cable brands mentioned above also produce audiophile speaker cables.
