Tanzania's mainstream media "Daily News" reported on January 18 that last weekend, Jim Yonaz, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Communications and Information Technology of Tanzania, went to the Singida region to inspect the optical cable backbone network project. The project connects Singida and Mbeya regions with a total length of 265 kilometers. Yonaz said that the Tanzanian government is promoting the construction of optical cable backbone networks across the country to fulfill its promise of providing reliable and high-quality communication services to all Tanzanian people.
The Director of Information and Communication Technology of the Ministry of Information, Communications and Information Technology of Tanzania said that the Tanzanian government is improving communication infrastructure in border areas and intends to extend mobile communication networks to Burundi, Malawi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia, Mozambique, and Congo (DRC). and other countries to build Tanzania into a regional mobile communications service center.
