Preformed armor rods is used for the connection fittings of overhead power wires and power overhead optical cable terminals, suspensions, joints, etc. Pre-twisted wire first appeared in the United States in the 1940s and 1950s. The original product was the spiral guard wire used for the protection of the stress concentration position of bare conductors and the position of electrical corrosion and arc burning. After years of development, pre-twisted wire fittings have been widely used in power transmission and distribution, optical fiber communications, electrified railways, cable television, construction, agriculture and other fields.
